Getting feeds' web address or url from a website

In order to get rss feeds from any websites, first that website must provide rss feeds. If so, then try the following:

  1. Go to the website that you want to get the feeds from.
  2. Locate any links that contain the words "rss", "feed", "atom", "rss feed atom xml" or similiar. or any of these symbols: Rss icon set
  3. After locating the links or the rss symbol/icon on a website or blog, clicking on it will usually take you to the feed's website where you can obtain the web address.
  4. Once you have reached the web address of the rss feed, you can copy its url from the address bar. You can then paste the copied url in "feed url" on Coffeedential.com's "My account" > "Add new feed" form.

You can also try to locate the following code by "Right clicking" on a website's page and then "View page source":
<link rel="alternate" type="application/rss+xml" title="Some title" href="http://www.websitename.com/feed" />
The link in the href="" attribute with be a rss feed url. In our case http://www.websitename.com/feed will be the feed url.

Our "Add new feed" form will validate the feed urls you add to determine whether they are valid or not. The "Add new feed" form will also be able to grab feeds from any normal web address if a website have tags of this form in their headers: ("Right click" > "View page source")

<link rel="alternate" type="application/rss+xml" title="Some title" href="http://www.websitename.com/feed" />
So by entering http://www.websitename.com as feed url, it will grab the feeds from http://www.websitename.com/feed.

Displaying feeds

To view feeds ticking on your profile, just browse your profile link (shown under "My account"). Your profile link will be in the following form:

http://www.coffeedential.com/profile where profile is your account username.

Your profile works best in full screen mode. To get the best of this application and your profile enter your browser's full screen mode.

You can also browse someone else's profile (as someone can browse yours), but then you have no control over feeds displayed on someone else's profile. We will create an archive in the future with profiles and descriptions over their feeds.
